How to Win Playing Slot Machines

A former professional gambler explains why playing a slot machine is no way to win. He explains why winning at slots is not random, and why no skill is involved. He demonstrates how to program one of the popular slot machine models, which in itself proves that slot machines are programmed to take your money, instead of paying you a jackpot.

All well and good, but this guy is talking about a home Pachismo machine, used in Japan and sold to US customers. It is not the same as the Vegas style reel slot used in casinos. The skills needed to be learned to be successful involve studying the machines, payback tables and instructions. Play the most expensive machine you can afford; the payback percentage increases with the denomination. Never play with money you need: rent, mortgage, taxes, utilities. When you win, get out fast!

  2. TheKingofSlots Says:

If your primary source of income is gambling, then it is a profession. A business. Perhaps 1% of gamblers do this, and they are card players, not slots players.

  3. celty7 Says:

most of slots in uk payout right before midnight because thats when the machines are nearly turned off automaticly

  4. JackTheMoe Says:

It´s not important what you do, if you are very good at what you are doing.

BeanMeister22 : not true, actually there are bugs on the software and there are a lot of people who can take advantage just because they know when the slot is going to pay cause of money inside….

  7. Jenovasson Says:

Thanks for the advice. I’m going to Vegas tonight, I think I’ll try playing once every machine. That’s if I don’t fall under the machines spell.

  8. papermariob Says:

I used to work in a slot machine arcade,
I used to fell so sorry for some of the people that played the slots.
Our machines were on 80% payout and would pay out NO more and NO less!!
Every week the owner would empty the cash out and drive away in his S Class Mercedes.
It was quite funny to watch people playing them who thought there was skill involved.
Slots are there for one reason and for one reason only… For the people who play them to LOSE!!!!

  9. ragein5557 Says:

i work in Vegas as a bellman, i HATE slot machines, black jack is the only game i play since i can “IMPROVE” not “guarantee” my ability to win and i play roulette when i feel like playing “lucky”. its not cause there are more slot machine ratio to table games ratio that “SLOTS” is a main gambling income maker for a casino, its a matter of the “program mode.” I hope foreigners will watch and learn from your post. THX

  13. BeanMeister22 Says:

Maybe, but I think it is more than just a play on words. The point is that the only real surefire way to win at slots is to not play them. If you didn’t lose you money, then you have won.

  14. jpdel1515 Says:

lol, the name of this vid is How to Win Playing Slot Machines, but all you did was to say not to play slot machines. shouldn’t you have named the vid “don’t play slot machines”?

  15. BeanMeister22 Says:

If I had to play a slot machine, I would play an end machine which might have been set a little looser to draw the customers in. Usually, people try out an end machine, but they settle down to play one in a more comfortable location, therefore some places loosen up the end ones and the ones in high traffic areas. Because after all, you may want to stop and try one of these machines, but who really wants to sit there?

  16. Beez827 Says:

would u recommend playing at the corner slots or the ones in the middle of a group of slot machines? or the ones people dont play a lot?

  17. Rimmer66 Says:

does not exceed its payout, after which the computer will keep on creating new random numbers once more so the machine stays within its range - So it’s not true that the machine knows in advance the 10 next stops - it generates a new number each time. I guess you can call it CONTROLLED randomness.

  18. Rimmer66 Says:

winning combination and that the amoun EXCEEDS payout, a new number is generated until it hits a losing combo (and this is done at lightning speed). This explains why some machines appear to be giving out like crazy - It’s because these machines have accumulated a lot of money and a lot of losing combinations so it has some leverage (no pun intended) and will give out a lot until it once again and

  19. Rimmer66 Says:

Some machines when in payout mode will give out consistently (those are the loose machines) BUT to make up for it the machiens nearby might be very greedy - Also about randomness, there IS some level of randomness to where the drums stop - otherwise on a 92% payout you would always get your 92 coins out of 100 - so the stops are RANDOM - however, if the random stop happens to be a

  20. Rimmer66 Says:

next turn - this would indicate that it is switching mode - I’ve seen this on the wild cherry slots and double diamonds, and would use it to determine if I put 1 coin or the max coins :) ALSO some machines are purposely set loose, and they are in every casino - and they will switch them around, I’ve seen them and I’ve played them - I have seen machines give out their jackpots two times in 30 minutes -

  21. Rimmer66 Says:

Thanks for your GREAT video - I like playing slot machines and yes I know it is not random, always knew that - I know how they work - HOWEVER - believe it or not, some machines have some “flaws”, and if you are very sharp you can know when some machines are at their peaks and valleys ;) Some of the machines I played in the past would pause slightly before the bet buttons light come on for your
